Job Responsibilities:

Benefits Operations

  • Identify and resolve data, eligibility, and enrollment issues, ensuring timely and accurate corrections
  • Maintain and update benefits documentation, resources, and internal process materials to reflect current plan design and practices
  • Monitor program activity and proactively address discrepancies, gaps, or errors before they impact employees

Leave of Absence (LOA) Administration & Guidance

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers navigating leave of absence
  • Assess employee situations and determine appropriate next steps, including identifying when a leave may qualify under applicable programs (e.g., FMLA, short term disability, state leave)
  • Explain leave processes, timelines, and expectations, including how leave interacts with pay, benefits, and job protection
  • Apply working knowledge of leave laws and company policy to provide informed, accurate guidance
  • Partner with third-party administrators to support claim initiation, documentation requirements, status tracking, and issue resolution
  • Manage employee cases from initial inquiry through resolution, ensuring coordination and communication throughout the process
  • Identify and escalate complex or high-risk situations as needed

Employee & Manager Communication & Enablement

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries with clear and accurate information
  • Translate benefit plans, policies, and processes into practical, easy-to-understand language tailored to the audience
  • Deliver employee-facing communications (written and live), including support for open enrollment and benefit program education
  • Identify trends in employee questions and update materials, templates, and FAQs to improve clarity and consistency
  • Maintain a clear and solutions-oriented approach in employee communications that supports a positive employee experience and builds trust

Issue Resolution & Risk Management

  • Investigate and resolve a range of benefits and leave-related issues, including complex or sensitive situations
  • Interpret policies, assess available information, and determine appropriate next steps using sound judgement
  • Manage issues using available data, precedent, and input from appropriate partners (e.g., PX Business Partners, Legal, Total Rewards leadership, and vendors)
  • Engage stakeholders as needed, providing relevant context and proposed approaches to support resolution
  • Coordinate issue resolution through to completion and communicate outcomes and next steps to stakeholders
  • Communicate with employees in a clear and neutral manner, ensuring messages are easy to understand

Vendor Coordination & Process Improvement

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with benefits and leave vendors to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and support service delivery
  • Follow through on vendor-related issues and escalations and communicate updates to impacted stakeholders
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes using automation and system capabilities, and surface areas of redundancy or overlap across vendors and workflows to support ongoing optimization and consolidation efforts
  • Maintain and update internal resources, templates, and SharePoint documentation to reflect current processes and practices

Job Requirements:
