Location Hybrid - Mississauga
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs and software features.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using modern distributed systems and serverless technologies.
- Build and enhance microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
- Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve software design, implementation, and productivity.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and development practices to continuously improve engineering processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Contribute to software architecture discussions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications - 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience building and maintaining microservices-based architectures.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS.
- Frontend development experience and the ability to contribute to full-stack initiatives.
- Background in life sciences, bioinformatics, healthcare, or medical devices.
- Experience developing software in regulated environments with design control processes.

Expected Compensation Range:90K. The final compensation offered will be
determined based on the candidate's level of experience, skills, and qualifications, in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.
