Own the full lifecycle of features: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and improvement
Drive continuous integration and deployment across the platform
Contribute to innovation and ongoing performance optimization
Ensure code quality with peer reviews, testing, and strong development practices
Collaborate with internal and external partners on integrations (EHR, billing, accounting systems)
Implement and uphold security and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, OWASP best practices)
Document workflows, share knowledge, and strengthen engineering practices across the team
We're Looking For Someone Who...
Is fluent in modern backend programming languages and frameworks (Python, TypeScript, etc.)
Has experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred) to build scalable SaaS solutions
Brings strong database skills in SQL (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL systems
Brings deep knowledge of secure coding practices (OWASP)
Is confident building and integrating APIs for interoperability (FHIR, HL7 a plus)
Spots and solves complex technical problems with scalability and performance in mind
Understands secure coding practices and compliance in healthcare or other regulated industries
Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Mentors junior engineers and contributes to a strong engineering culture
Thrives in a fast-moving environment with high ownership

Additional Notes
This role will require occasional travel to the USA and Canada for on-site campaigns, team collaboration, and brand activations. All travel will be coordinated and supported by the Meroka team.
