Senior AWS Platform Engineer | Plano, Texas, United States Senior AWS Platform Engineer Location: San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX (Onsite 4 days/week) | C2C About the Role Join a leading technology-driven organization as a Senior AWS Platform Engineer, supporting cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, and AI-powered solutions. Responsibilities - Architect, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes (EKS) platforms. - Lead EKS upgrades, lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and ensure platform reliability. - Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent, automated deployments. - Administer AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, Fargate, S3, RDS, EBS, Route 53, and Direct Connect. - Optimize and support PostgreSQL, Aurora, and AWS RDS databases with a focus on performance, backups, recovery, and high availability. - Enforce robust cloud security controls using IAM, WAF, KMS, Secrets Manager, and certificate management. - Design and refine AI prompts using prompt engineering techniques, AWS Bedrock, and integrate AI with APIs and databases. - Proactively monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high security and performance standards. Required Skills and Experience - 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure engineering. - Deep expertise with Amazon EKS/Kubernetes. - Proficient with EC2, Lambda, Fargate, S3, EBS, VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect. - Advanced Terraform skills for IaC. - Strong experience with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, certificate, and secrets management. - 3+ years managing AWS lifecycle, vulnerability remediation, and cloud security. - 3-5 years with PostgreSQL, Aurora, AWS RDS, plus strong SQL/database performance tuning. - 2+ years of prompt engineering, including few-shot/zero-shot prompting and AI integrations. - Experience integrating with generative AI platforms (AWS Bedrock preferred). Preferred Skills - Experience in financial services or regulated environments. - AWS certifications. - Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
