Full Job Description
KEVILLE ENTERPRISES, INC., a WBE/DBE Certified Construction Management and Inspection firm specializing in providing a full spectrum of construction management and support services as an owner's representative on public and private projects, is seeking a full-time Senior Aviation Estimator to join an on-site, airport-based program management team in Austin, Texas. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of applicable cost estimating experience, including terminal, airfield electrical and utility infrastructure. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools, RSMeans, and HeavyBid HCSS is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Aviation Estimator will be required to develop detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects including highway, bridge, tunnel, airport, building construction, building renovation and other projects. Types of estimates will include preliminary conceptual estimates, estimates at various stages of design, change order estimates, claims estimates, and estimates to analyze "what if" scenarios. Estimator will also be required to review and comment on cost estimates developed by others, and write a variety of technical reports. Estimator will interface with construction schedulers to ensure that estimates and schedules are coordinated and integrated. Estimator will also be required to interface with project owners, designers, engineers, material and equipment suppliers, and construction contractors. Estimator will be required to participate in project meetings, negotiations, risk analysis studies, and value engineering studies.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have at least 10 years of aviation cost estimating experience on vertical or civil projects, including specific experience with terminal construction, baggage handling systems, apron rehabilitation, taxiway improvements, and airfield electrical and utility infrastructure. Applicants should be highly proficient with computers, particularly Microsoft Excel, and experience with HCSS Heavy Bid Software, digitizers or on-screen takeoff software, and CPM scheduling is strongly preferred. A strong understanding of the construction process is essential, including the ability to read plans and specifications and determine crews, equipment, and production rates. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, calm demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication in English. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field is required.

Other: Local Candidates preferred. OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
