Job Description:

This role will lead Site Connectivity Solutions Program Management for autonomy and remote-control application network solutions within Cat Technology. Responsibilities include generating functional requirements from customers (VOC) and business (VOB) input, aligning them with program needs and deliverables and managing an intake process.

In this position, you will help define functional requirements for Site Technology Connectivity, collaborate with OEM partners, define technology roadmaps, drive engineering execution, and coordinate stakeholder communication. Your role includes gathering customer connectivity and feature requests, refining them, guiding these through development, and ensuring timely delivery. You will work closely with Cat Technology engineering teams and commercial reps to understand and set priorities aligned with business need.

Responsibilities include:
  • Facilitating the development and support of Site Connectivity products through collaboration with development partners in Cat Technology as well as Cat commercial teams
  • Ensure programs meet all goal requirements for product function, reliability, program cost, budget, and customer satisfaction
  • Communicate the status of program/project to stakeholders and customers in clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Accountable for the definition and management of functional requirements.
  • Developing and tracking annual budgets and program life-time forecasts related to product development and programs.
  • Leading the evaluation and deployment of new wireless technologies and solutions to add or enhance existing validated solutions.
  • Overseeing and ensuring the timely delivery of validated solutions and support through collaboration and alignment with commercial teams on customer needs

What You Will Have:

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.

Program Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives. Level Extensive Experience:

Change Control: Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; Ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively+

Problem Management: Knowledge of the processes involved in problem control, error control and the production of management information or computer hardware; ability to identify the root cause of problems in a timely and accurate manner and bring them to a successful resolution.

Considerations For Top Candidates:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
  • Experience and history of progressive product and project leadership responsibility
  • Knowledge and experience with connectivity solutions
  • Knowledge and experience within Heavy Equipment product development
  • Knowledge and experience with on-machine technology (Remote Control & Autonomy)
  • Knowledge and awareness of IoT Standards, regulations, and regional requirements
  • Familiarity and experience in wireless technology i.e., public and private cellular, Satellite, Wi-Fi, etc.
  • Incumbents must have demonstrated excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.
  • Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other business units, customers, and suppliers.
  • Requirements gathering and documentation experience with customers
  • Electronic component, information systems, and machine systems development experience and knowledge
  • Commercial, business, engineering and manufacturing skills along with an understanding of product test & development, materials, accounting and pricing functions.

  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time in Mossville, IL

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $240,110.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
