Job DescriptionOur Valuation Services practice prepares objective valuations for financial reporting, tax and management planning purposes. Senior Associates work on a variety of assignments, including business enterprise valuations, purchase price allocations, intellectual property valuations, stock option valuations, and dispute consulting.
Day-to-day responsibilities:- Performing valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities within various industries using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
- Managing client engagements from day-to-day interaction with the client through to staffing and managing the resources and work plan through to timely completion
- Designing and modifying financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, option pricing, and intangible valuation analyses
- Reporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including writing valuation reports
- Contributing directly to the development of proposals, presentations, and publications
- Working with internal management in building and maintaining client relationships
- Helping recruit and develop junior staff
Essential Traits:- Bachelors/ Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or MBA
- Professional accreditation or progress towards ASA, CFA, ABV, CPA, etc. designations is a plus
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: DCF, comparable company, stock option, and intangible asset models
- Prior practical experience in finance (private equity, audit, valuation, M&A, other), is a plus
- Commitment to obtaining outstanding results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with diverse teams
- Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
