Full Job Description
Join Aprio'sTaxteam and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Tax Associate, International Tax to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex U.S. international tax compliance filings, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 1118, 1120-F, 8832, 8990, 8992, and 8993, and related statements and disclosures.
  • Analyze and apply U.S. international tax provisions, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, withholding taxes, and treaty provisions.
  • Deliver strategic inbound and outbound U.S. and international tax consulting, including repatriation planning, holding company and financing structures, foreign exchange considerations, and support for internal reorganizations and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Advise on the tax aspects of partnership ventures and provide structuring and diligence guidance for international aspects of M&A transactions.
  • Develop innovative international tax-saving strategies through analysis of supply chain and transfer pricing considerations.
  • Draft and contribute to technical tax memoranda and client deliverables addressing U.S. international tax issues.
  • Identify planning opportunities and potential risks for multinational clients and communicate findings clearly to managers and partners.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of international tax engagements, including budgeting awareness, workflow coordination, and meeting deadlines.
  • Coordinate with U.S. domestic tax teams, transfer pricing professionals, and foreign firms to ensure consistent global tax outcomes.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for routine client questions and data requests, escalating complex issues as appropriate.


Qualifications:

  • A CPA or JD is required for this role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, law degree, or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred)
  • Recent experience working in a public accounting firm, preferably a top 10 accounting firm
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience with a strong emphasis on U.S. international tax
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex international information returns and related calculations
  • Experience in Corporate, S-Corp. and/or Partnership returns
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
  • Experience managing a team
  • Exposure to multinational clients across multiple industries; experience with private equity, technology, or manufacturing clients is a plus
