Full Job Description
Senior Associate, Product Management — US Card Authentication CX

As the oldest and largest Line of Business at Capital One, US Card is the engine that powers our enterprise. Within the Customer Services & Strategy teams, we don’t just maintain the status quo—we are actively rewriting the playbook for how a modern bank operates. We build technology-led, data-driven products across Fraud, Recoveries, Collections, and Digital Servicing to deliver personalized, empathetic customer experiences at a massive scale.

About the Team

Every day, millions of Capital One customers call in and within seconds we have to answer one question with total confidence: Is this really them? The Authentication Team builds the tools and experiences needed to answer that question and keep our customer protected from the ever-evolving fraud landscape. This role sits within the US Card Fraud organization and contributes to the mission of revolutionizing the banking industry through better information and technology.

About the Role

We're looking for a visionary who wants to imagine the authentication experiences of the future. You'll be responsible for defining the destination-state vision for how authentication should work in an AI-driven world and you’ll play a role in reinventing the tools customers use to authenticate themselves at Capital One. You'll own the product strategy end-to-end and lead a dedicated technology team to bring it to life.

What You'll Do

  • Partner across Ops, BA, and Tech to define the destination-state architecture and experience for authentication that optimizes for fraud loss prevention, customer experience and agent efficiency
  • Turn the product strategy into shipped software by leading the tech team's execution
  • Explore where AI-driven capabilities can strengthen fraud detection or the authentication experience itself and champion AI-powered tooling to help your team move faster and smarter
  • Let data make the call and prove your bets worked after you ship them
  • Build real influence across the org by working directly with Fraud Strategy, Risk, Legal/Compliance, Design, and Servicing Operations

Capital One Product Framework

In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:

  • Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions
  • Business Focused - Delivers game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence
  • Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value
  • Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks
  • Transformational Leadership - Leads cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of partnership with engineering
  • Experience working in fraud, risk, identity verification, authentication, or another highly regulated financial services domain
  • Curiosity and hands-on experience with AI-powered product capabilities and AI-assisted product delivery tools
  • Experience using data and experimentation to inform product decisions
  • Experience partnering directly with engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Experience communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • A bias toward white-space thinking
