Job Title: Senor Associate, Private Markets Fund Accounting
Locations: Dallas, TX (hybrid), San Antonio, TX (hybrid)
About the RoleSupport the delivery of high-quality fund accounting services by preparing detailed work papers, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy across financial reporting and investment activity. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with clients, auditors, and internal teams to meet deadlines, contribute to audits, and gain hands-on experience with private equity fund administration.
How You Will Make an Impact - Deliver accurate and timely work product within deliverable timelines
- Prepare work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, income and expense accruals and investment activity
- Update distribution waterfall (carried interest) models
- Prepare management fee calculations and supporting schedules
- Review all transaction documentation and supporting files, and understand the features of the investment transactions, accruals, etc.
- Perform bank reconciliations and process journal entries
- Support year-end audit process, in collaboration with the team, client and auditors
- Actively interact with clients and counter-parties including legal counsels, auditors and tax advisors to meet key deadlines
Required Experience - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA and/or MBA is a plus
- 2+ years' experience in Accounting
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive accounting concepts
- Experience focused on alternative investments funds, Private Equity/Real Assets experience
- Experience preparing and reviewing general ledgers, work papers and financial statements
- Deadline-oriented with a strong attention to detail with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
