About the RoleAs we continue to scale our Grocery business, we're looking to hire a few Senior Associate onto our Grocery Strategy & Operations team! In this role, you'll define go-to-market strategies, launch and manage growth and quality initiatives, and dive into data to identify opportunities that will inform our product strategy. Every initiative you work on will impact the grocery business by focusing on identifying new ways to attract, retain and engage consumers. You will be solving problems like learning how we can create an end-to-end in-app grocery experience that's better than shopping in-store and defining how consumers shop for key categories like meat, produce, and dairy in the app.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product. The best operators today are rapidly prototyping ideas, building mocks for user research, putting together product visions, and synthesizing complex analyses - all with the leverage of AI tools. We expect this person to stay at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the work, actively exploring new tools, automating repetitive workflows, and finding ways to do in hours what used to take weeks. The scope of this role will continue to evolve as AI tools become more powerful and accessible, and we want someone who finds that trajectory exciting rather than unsettling.
This role is based in New York, San Francisco, or Seattle. We operate in a hybrid model and spend a few days a month in person together!
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...- Strategize. From first principles, you'll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
- Operate. Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations.
- Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments - and increasingly, use AI to accelerate and deepen that analysis.
- Experiment. You'll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes
- Build with AI. You'll use AI tools to rapidly prototype consumer-facing ideas, create mocks for user research sessions, synthesize qualitative Cx feedback at scale, and develop product visions - compressing what used to require weeks and multiple teams into a single afternoon. You'll be expected to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI in your day-to-day work, and share what you learn with the team.
- Lead, collaborate and Influence. You'll partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships and product team to build and scale the Grocery business.
We're excited about you because...- You have 2-4+ years of experience. You've succeeded in similar cultures that are highly analytical and cross-functional (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
- You are an owner. You're always looking for opportunities to better your work product and own the outcome - both the good and the bad
- You're entrepreneurial. You have a bias for action and are able to build things from the ground up.
- You're analytical. You let data win arguments, and you're comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and building models in excel.
- You solve problems from first principles. You have a talent for synthesizing complex problems, can translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and enjoy implementing a process
- You're equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team.
- You're unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environment
- You're energized by AI tools - and you actively experiment with them. You don't wait to be told how to use a new tool; you've already tried it. You bring a builder's mindset to AI: using it to automate the repetitive, accelerate the analytical, and unlock work that would otherwise require a larger team. You're comfortable with a role whose scope will continue to shift as AI becomes more capable, and you see that as an opportunity rather than a threat.
- You have a completed Bachelor's Degree.
