Job Summary:

The Valuation & Capital Markets Analytics Senior Associate is responsible for utilizing previously obtained educational background, along with established organizational and project management skills to successfully service clients of BDO Valuation & Business Analytics. This role works within a team environment to actively assist in the analysis and resolution of client matters while taking direction and receiving guidance from experienced staff and management members. The Senior Associate is involved in all stages of client management, including identification of potential valuation issues, construction of valuation modeling and completion of industry and client research, along with conduction of on-site inspections.

Job Duties:
  • Constructs valuation modeling and market research on various equipment types and completes company, as well as industry and economic research
  • Conducts on-site inspections to asses and confirm asset conditions
  • Documents and ensures quality control of work product for assigned engagements
  • Assist in creating narrative reports and review memos to support valuation analyses
  • Develops exhibits and memos to illustrate complex issue
  • Assists with project preparation and delivery
  • Archives work files in accordance with BDO Best Practices
  • Other duties as required


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree, required
  • Focus in Finance or Engineering, preferred

Experience:
  • Two (2) or more years similar experience, required
  • Machinery and equipment valuation experience, preferred

License/Certifications:
  • AM / ASA or certification, preferred

Software:
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, required

Travel:
  • Intermediate travel as required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex issues
  • Intermediate or higher spreadsheet understanding and computer adaptability
  • Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data
  • Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels


Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $85,000 - $100,000 Maryland Range: $85,000 - $100,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $85,000 - $100,000
