Full Job Description
Competitive Total Compensation Range: $100-$140K annually depending on experience & credentials.

Target Start Date: November 2nd, 2026 or January 4th, 2027

Responsibilities (Time Allocation):

Business Development and Client Prospecting: 75%
  • Support Principal Advisor, Thane Stenner and other team partners, to drive business development and prospecting initiatives.
  • Research prospective clients, centers of influence (COIs), and referral opportunities using Altrata, Wealth X and other approved tools.
  • Build and manage a qualified prospect pipeline with clear priorities, next steps, and follow-up timelines.
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations with the partners to assess prospects' needs, priorities, decision-making processes, and fit with the team.
  • Prepare professional correspondence, proposals, referral agreements, presentations, and other communications for prospects, clients, and referral partners.
  • Develop personalized outreach and follow-up strategies across email, telephone, video conference, and in-person channels.
  • Coordinate prospect meetings, presentations, investor updates, and follow-up activities.
  • Support client acquisition and onboarding from initial qualification through account opening and transition to ongoing relationship management.
  • Maintain accurate and current prospect and client information in Maximizer.
  • Track business development activities, pipeline progress, and conversion opportunities, and provide regular updates to senior team members.
  • Use approved AI tools to improve research, communications, presentations, documentation, and workflow efficiency while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.


Investment Strategy Presentations: 25%
  • Support the preparation and presentation of suitable investment strategies and opportunities to clients and prospects.
  • Coordinate with advisors and analysts to develop relevant presentation materials and follow-up information.
  • Prepare balanced summaries of investment opportunities, including key benefits, risks, and considerations.
  • Use approved AI and analytical tools to support research and summarize information, independently verifying all output.


Skills & Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of relevant financial services or business development experience, preferably in private wealth management, private banking, asset management, insurance, accounting, or finance.
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience is required.
  • Current CIRO registration appropriate for the role, or completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), with valid standing where required.
  • CFA, CIM, CFP, CPA, or a comparable professional designation is an asset not required.
  • Demonstrated experience qualifying prospects, conducting discovery conversations, managing a pipeline, and advancing opportunities through a relationship-based sales process.
  • Strong relationship building skills, active-listening, outreach, and follow-up/communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Confident and professional communication skills across telephone, email, video conference, and in-person settings.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI to improve research, business development, presentations, communications, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality, privacy, information security, and responsible AI use.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Maximizer preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot or other enterprise-approved AI tools is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Dataphile, Thomson ONE, Bloomberg, Envestnet, or similar industry platforms is an asset.
  • Strong CRM discipline, including activity tracking, prospect prioritization, pipeline management, and business development reporting.
  • Resilient, persistent, and professional when managing extended decision-making timelines.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Positive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.


This is a full-time, in-office position based in downtown Vancouver. The successful candidate is expected to work primarily from the office and participate in the collaborative, team-focused environment at SWP+.
