Your contribution!

As a Sr. Associate - Advanced Development, you will support the development and execution of renewable energy projects, including hydro, wind, solar, and battery storage initiatives.

You will contribute to advancing projects across the full lifecycle, helping manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring alignment with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Your day-to-day!
  • Support the advancement of renewable energy projects from Request for Proposal (RFP) award to Notice to Proceed (NTP), ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Continue supporting development activities required by the construction team through to Commercial Operation Date (COD)
  • Contribute to early-stage development activities (pre-RFP), including site identification and assessment, site control, resource analysis, environmental studies, offtake opportunities, and RFP submissions
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants on activities such as land acquisition, permitting, and community relations
  • Support stakeholder engagement by maintaining relationships with local communities, regulatory bodies, and project partners
  • Coordinate with project and joint venture partners to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines
  • Identify project risks and support the development of mitigation strategies
  • Maintain project documentation, including tracking lists, schedules, and status reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Support project administration by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking action items


Your skills, our requirements!
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project development and coordination, preferably in the renewable energy sector
  • Experience in partnership management and contract negotiations
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and knowledge of regulatory requirements is preferred
  • Experience with project financing is an asset
  • Understanding of renewable energy technologies and the broader energy market

Pay Transparency Statement

Compensation for roles at Innergex varies based on a wide range of factors, including skill set, education, and relevant experience. We are committed to pay equity and take internal equity among current team members into account when determining any final offer.

To support pay transparency, the hiring range for this position is $84,000-$105,000 per year, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Your final base salary, if hired, will be determined by factors such as your skills, education, and experience, along with our commitment to internal equity.

Please note that it is not typical to hire at the top of the hiring range, as doing so limits opportunities for future salary growth. Innergex also offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
