Job Description

Hitachi Solutions is seeking an experienced Finance Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale finance transformations. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping organizations modernize financial operations, improve business processes, and maximize the value of their technology investments.

As a Finance Architect, you will bring deep expertise across core financial management functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank management, fixed assets, budgeting, and project accounting. You will work closely with business leaders, finance stakeholders, project teams, and executive sponsors to evaluate current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design scalable future-state solutions aligned to strategic business objectives.

A key responsibility of this role is leading discovery activities, requirements gathering, and fit-gap assessments. You will facilitate workshops, translate business needs into functional solution designs, and provide guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle. Your ability to connect accounting principles with business process optimization will be critical in helping clients streamline operations, enhance controls, and drive measurable business outcomes.

The successful candidate will serve as both a solution leader and collaborative team member within large enterprise transformation programs. You will partner with architects, consultants, project managers, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed, delivered, tested, and deployed successfully. You will also contribute to architectural governance, solution quality, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences, ranging from operational teams and project workshops to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders. You will be expected to communicate complex concepts clearly, present recommendations with confidence, and build consensus across business and technology teams.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, influencing strategic decisions, mentoring team members, and helping leading organizations navigate large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives. Domestic and international travel may be required based on client and project needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline; accounting-focused education strongly preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in ERP finance implementations, including 4+ full lifecycle D365 F&O/AX engagements in a lead architect role including substantial experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Deep functional expertise across core finance processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Management, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Project Accounting.
  • Proven experience leading requirements gathering sessions, business process analysis, fit-gap assessments, solution design activities, and functional specification development.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, compliance considerations, and finance process optimization.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with users, business leaders, executives, and steering committees.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, effort estimation, and SOW development.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (MB-310, MB-700) or equivalent, strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with common finance ISVs (tax engines, e-invoicing, document management) and Power Platform/Azure integration patterns is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success working within large, cross-functional enterprise transformation programs, with willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
