Responsible for conducting research and analyses to support the development of plans to drive strategic and transformational initiatives across the organization and assists in the development of business strategies in support of the CEO and Executive Team to improve company profit, enterprise value, and competitive position.
Support the development of enterprise, pillar, and line of business (LOB) strategies
Support and drive the development of longer-term strategic and business plans, and participates in the annual operational planning process
Accountable for ensuring adherence to Board delivery timelines, including coordination and preparation of content for Board of Directors and Committee meetings, as necessary
Access, understand, and develop insights on the vision care industry (including insurance and materials businesses), the broader healthcare and retail industries, technology, and adjacent trends globally
Remain cognizant of the changing environment, continually working at and defining strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose
Collaborate with business leaders to identify and define strategic initiatives that will have overarching impact by developing creative, yet pragmatic solutions
Work with internal data and analytics team, develop and maintain key qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure progress against enterprise strategic goals and success of related strategic initiatives
Job SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, marketing, statistics, or related field
Eight years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, corporate development, strategy or management consulting, research, data analytics, market analysis, or competitive intelligence
Working knowledge and experience in the vision, healthcare or insurance industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on simplicity of messaging
Highly proficient in Power Point
Ability to use logic and think through future implications
Proven ability and willingness to work through details and execute
Personal and professional integrity with the ability to preserve confidentiality
Desire to dig in to all areas of the business to help identify opportunities and outline solutions, metrics, etc. to move the business forward
Possess energy and enthusiasm for new ideas
For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
Preferred Skills:
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build trust, and drive accountability and outcomes without direct authority.
- Experienced in partnering with executives, synthesizing complex information, and communicating with clarity and confidence.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $105,000.00 - $165,375.00
