Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary technical resource to identify customer needs and develop tailored engineering solutions
- Collaborate with Sales to communicate the value and technical advantages of Mott products to customers
- Perform product sizing, component design, and system configuration for process filtration applications
- Develop cost estimates and support pricing strategy through accurate component costing
- Create technical documentation including specifications, calculations, and engineering drawings
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to deliver customer solutions
- Support project execution by completing engineering tasks within defined timelines
Major Challenges- Managing multiple priorities across different sales channels and customer projects
- Translating complex technical requirements into commercially viable solutions
- Designing solutions for diverse applications across multiple industries
- Communicating technical value effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Operating in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with competing demands
Expected Performance Outcomes- Deliver customer solutions within quoting timelines (target under 4.5 days)
- Complete design, sizing, and costing activities within 2 days of assignment
- Maintain cost accuracy within 5% of actual costs
- Execute engineering deliverables within schedule and budget (±10% of allocated hours)
- Provide high-quality technical and commercial support that contributes to business growth
Required Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering discipline
- 3+ years of experience in engineering or technical customer-facing role
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, manufacturing, quality)
- Strong understanding of component costing, BOMs, and material selection
- Experience working in project team environments (project leadership preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical Knowledge & Skills- Strong foundation in fluid dynamics and process systems
- Understanding of pressure vessels, instrumentation, valves, and P&IDs
- Ability to select materials of construction based on application requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in manufacturing processes and design principles
- Ability to conceptualize, design, and communicate technical solutions effectively

Total RewardsThe compensation range for this position is $112,700.00 - $169,100.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
