Overview

The primary purpose of the Senior Applications Specialist position is to provide coordination and support for internally developed, as well as vendor-supplied computer software programs related to the strategic business processes, to Perioperative Services systems, in an environment which promotes industry best practices and optimal use of University Hospital resources. The Senior Applications Specialist is responsible for implementation, training, delivering procedural and basic technical support to customers, collaborating directly with them on a daily basis, primarily through telephone, email and help desk tickets. Responsibilities center on coordinating implementation, resolving customer issues and questions involving software, training, and troubleshooting. The incumbent will also work with University Hospital to identify process improvements and efficiencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field required. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in related technology field or Business, Business Administration. Knowledge of modern office methods, practices, and procedures and software. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Experience providing application support in a healthcare related field preferred. Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
