Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
Senior Java Backend Developer with
8-12 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in
Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Apache Kafka, and distributed systems, along with experience building cloud-native applications on
AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD practices is required.
Note: Only qualified candidates located near
Plano, TX will be considered, as this position requires an onsite presence.
Required Skills- 8-12 years of hands-on Java development experience (Java 7 or higher).
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Extensive experience building Microservices and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including Topics, Partitions, Offsets, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.
- Strong database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and/or Cassandra.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git version control.
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills- Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or Confluent Platform.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or Envoy.
- Experience with Redis or Memcached.
- Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build, optimize, and support Apache Kafka producers, consumers, and real-time messaging pipelines.
- Develop fault-tolerant, highly available distributed systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
- Deploy, manage, and support applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for backend services and Kafka-based applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and improve system scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting modern development practices and emerging technologies.
