Position Overview

Diverse Agile Solutions is seeking a Senior Application Developer / Engineer / Programmer to support a high-impact cloud application development environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing Python-based applications and microservices, building and deploying infrastructure using AWS CDK, designing workflows with AWS Step Functions, and developing secure, scalable RESTful APIs.

This role is well suited for an experienced software engineer who enjoys working across application development, cloud infrastructure, automation, testing, and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Cloud Infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain production-grade Python-based microservices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK.
  • Develop complex business workflows using AWS Step Functions.
  • Build containerized applications and services using Docker.
  • Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
  • Integrate AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, and EventBridge.
  • Implement comprehensive application logging, monitoring, and auditing using Amazon CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
  • Support multi-environment deployments through Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
Software Quality & Engineering Excellence
  • Conduct peer code reviews with emphasis on:

    • Maintainability
    • Performance
    • Security
    • Scalability
    • Coding standards and best practices
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Troubleshoot defects and perform code remediation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
