Job Title: Senior Apparel Buyer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Apparel Buyer to join our procurement team. This role will focus on sourcing and purchasing apparel for our liquidation channel, ensuring we offer high-quality fashion products at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apparel procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the apparel category to ensure a reliable supply chain and cost-effective procurement.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost targets.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product developments.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment of supplies.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure all purchased products meet the organization's quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in apparel procurement. Experience in the fashion and apparel industry, particularly in a liquidation or discount retail environment, is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Familiarity with fashion trends, apparel quality standards, and industry regulations.
