Reporting to the Sr. Manager, North America Transportation Optimization, the Sr. Analyst, NA Transportation Optimization helps identify, prioritize, lead, design, build and/or implement continuous improvement and cost-savings projects. This is achieved via enhancing operational efficiency, implementing projects, deploying lean methodologies, and applying metrics. This position will work with and influence NA SC corporate and field transportation associates and enhance their CI capability by training and coaching them on optimization philosophies and methodologies, and keeping optimization at the forefront of Transportation initiatives via effective communications and change management. Support NA Transportation in meeting Cost-to-Win/Cost to Deliver (CTW/CTD) savings targets through planning and oversight of transportation and business optimization activity.

OBJECTIVES:
  • Enhance the Transportation functions continuous improvement and cost savings attitude and ability by training and coaching them on optimization philosophies and methodologies, and consistently reinforcing them
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities by benchmarking and evaluating future supply chain trends and standard methodologies and prioritizing areas of improvement.
  • Provide E2E visibility of all NA SC key processes (mapping).
  • Design, implement and lead programs to improve performance areas such as supply cost driver analysis.
  • Define risk management and business continuity strategies in partnership with OSC Analytics.
  • Ensure regulatory and business compliance of Cost-to-Win projects by collaborating with applicable groups. Align with all local, state, federal, and BD safety and quality regulations, with all business policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with NA SC external vendor partners to facilitate joint continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and/or maintain metrics to track project effectiveness in meeting optimization and cost savings initiatives.
  • Manage a three-year project portfolio for (CTW/CTD) and Transportation Optimization activities for the NA SC.
  • Design E2E NA SC Customer-centric metrics, working closely with analytics for dashboard development.
  • Drive the deployment of Lean, CI, Project Management, and ensuring alignment with BD Excellence methodologies across the business and distribution centers.
  • Ensure improvements are sustained through coaching and leadership.
  • Support site optimization programs by coordinating with Unit Quality as necessary on Cost-to-Win projects
  • Act as a facilitator for cross-site activities, business-sponsored Cost-to-Win projects, and deployment of End-to-End Optimization standard methodologies.
  • Keep current with technology developments impacting company supply chains; develop business cases for implementation and ensure NA SC is trained.


Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
