Overview

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Sales Analyst with our Reynolds Consumer Products sales team in our Bentonville, AR office Tuesday - Thursday.

Responsibilities

The Senior Sales Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain organizations to drive profitable growth and strengthen customer relationships. This role leverages customer POS data, syndicated data, promotional performance, forecasting tools, and business intelligence resources to identify opportunities, improve forecast accuracy, optimize trade investments, and support strategic decision-making.

The Senior Sales Analyst serves as a key business partner to Sales leadership and cross-functional teams by translating data into actionable insights that improve revenue, profitability, customer execution, and demand planning performance.

Business Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze customer POS, shipment, inventory, and forecast data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain recurring business reports, dashboards, scorecards, and executive summaries.
  • Provide actionable insights that support customer strategy, category growth, and revenue attainment.
  • Lead ad hoc analysis to support business reviews, line reviews, assortment decisions, and customer meetings

Forecasting & Demand Planning Support

  • Manage and maintain customer forecasts within planning systems.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy metrics and identify drivers of forecast variance.
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Finance, and Sales teams to reconcile forecasts and align assumptions.
  • Evaluate promotional lifts, seasonal demand patterns, item transitions, modular changes, and event performance.

Promotional & Trade Management

  • Support planning, analysis, and post-event evaluation for promotional programs.
  • Track promotional spending, ROI attainment, and trade investment effectiveness.
  • Maintain promotional forecasting tools and customer planning systems.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize promotional strategies and maximize return on investment.

Customer & Category Support

  • Collaborate with customer teams to support annual planning, Joint Business Planning (JBP), and business reviews.
  • Analyze category performance, market share trends, and competitive activity.
  • Utilize syndicated data sources to provide marketplace insights and category recommendations.
  • Support customer-specific initiatives that improve sales growth and retailer scorecard performance.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Demand Planning teams.
  • Lead analytical projects that improve business processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts on reporting tools, forecasting methodologies, and business systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase accuracy, productivity, and business visibility.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales analytics, category management, demand planning, finance, or related business analytics roles.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience strongly preferred.
  • Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, or major retail customer experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, Power Query, lookup functions, and data modeling required.
  • Advanced Powerpoint skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with POS, syndicated, and retailer data platforms.
  • Familiarity with forecasting, promotional analysis, and trade management processes.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Exceedra, Retail Link, Scintilla, or similar business systems preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
