The Team
S&P Global Ratings is a leading provider of independent credit risk research and benchmarks, with a global team of over 1,400 analysts across key financial centers worldwide. We are recruiting Senior Analysts through the following practices:
Financial Services: Delivers forward-looking credit insights on banks, insurers, and other financial institutions, assessing capital strength, asset quality, governance, and operating environments.
Corporates: Assesses the creditworthiness of companies across industries by analyzing business risk, strategy, competitive position, and financial performance to produce transparent, comparable rating opinions.
Structured Finance & Alternative Investment Funds: Evaluates the credit risk of securitized products and fund structures by analyzing underlying asset performance, structural protections, and cash-flow mechanics.
Infrastructure & Project Finance: Provides credit analysis on essential infrastructure assets and ring-fenced project financings, assessing contractual frameworks, demand and operating risks, and financial resilience.
Public Finance: Delivers credit opinions on public-sector issuers — including states, local governments, public agencies, and not-for-profits — translating economic trends, governance, and long-term liabilities into transparent rating views.
Responsibilities and Impact
Team Contribution & Capability Building
Guide and coach junior analysts, building capability in credit analysis, data discipline, and analytical tooling to reinforce consistent, high-quality outputs.
Contribute to automation initiatives that free capacity for human analysis, judgment, and relationship-building.
Core Analytical & Delivery
Lead end-to-end credit analysis and surveillance for assigned credits, delivering timely, high-quality outputs with clear accountability.
Synthesize portfolio performance, market signals, and peer context into decision-ready insights, and embed generative AI and large language model tools within workflows while maintaining human accountability for all conclusions.
Stakeholder & Market Engagement
Translate complex data and analysis into clear, evidence-based narratives for clients and senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships through credible, collaborative engagement.
Risk Management and Operating
Apply methodology, confidentiality, and data governance requirements consistently, escalating issues early and contributing to the responsible design of automation and AI-enabled workflows.
Compensation and Benefits Information (US Candidates): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $97,000USDto$155,000USD. Final base salary will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications
Core Analytical & Delivery
Strong credit, financial, and risk analysis skills, with the ability to link fundamental drivers to forward-looking risk views.
Practical experience embedding generative AI or large language model tools into professional workflows to improve productivity and analytical output.
Proficiency in analytical and spreadsheet tools, with a willingness to develop skills in data and automation platforms.
Team Contribution & Capability Building
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work across multiple credits with limited oversight, and to coach junior colleagues through shared standards and tools.
Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes through credibility and constructive engagement.

Preferred or Helpful Experience
Additional Information
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis.
Employees are required to work from the office a minimum of two days per week.
Candidates who reach the final stage of the interview process will be asked to attend at least one in-person interview at their nearest S&P Global Ratings office before an offer can be extended.
