Job Description

The Middle Market Demand Generation team sits within the Managed Marketing & Prospect organization in GCS. The team is essential to the U.S. SME Sales & Marketing engine, warming and delivering high-intent leads for sales and driving acquisitions via the digital site experience.

The Senior Analyst, Reporting, Measurement & Analytics will play a critical role in understanding and improving the performance of the Middle Market demand-generation engine. The role will oversee reporting and measurement across the full marketing and sales funnel, lead complex analytical deep dives to identify performance drivers and opportunities, and help evolve the team's digital measurement strategy.

This role will translate data into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders and business partners, connecting marketing activity to prospect engagement, lead generation, Sales outcomes, and business performance. The Senior Analyst will partner closely with Marketing leaders, Sales, Analytics, Product, channel teams, and other cross-functional partners to establish a comprehensive and actionable view of performance.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Demand Generation and requires a combination of analytical rigor, business acumen, structured problem solving, and strong executive communication.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-funnel performance reporting and measurement across Middle Market demand generation, connecting marketing investment and engagement through lead generation, funnel progression, Sales outcomes, and acquisition.
  • Develop and evolve a comprehensive measurement framework and KPI architecture that provides a consistent view of performance across channels, audiences, products, campaigns, and stages of the customer journey.
  • Lead complex analytical deep dives to diagnose performance trends, identify underlying drivers and opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for Marketing, Sales, and business leaders.
  • Develop and manage leadership reporting and performance reviews, synthesizing complex data into clear narratives on business performance, key drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales leaders to understand performance against business objectives and identify opportunities to improve funnel efficiency, lead quality, conversion, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Help define and evolve the digital measurement strategy, including approaches to attribution, incrementality, channel effectiveness, sales journeys, audience measurement, and the connection between upper-funnel engagement and downstream business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Analytics teams to define analytical requirements, measurement methodologies, data needs, and advanced analyses that strengthen understanding of marketing and Sales performance.
  • Collaborate with Paid Media, Paid Search, Site Experience, Creative Strategy, Product, and other channel owners to establish appropriate KPIs and measurement plans and ensure performance insights inform ongoing strategy and optimization.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business analytics, digital measurement, performance marketing, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to work through complex business questions, identify performance drivers, and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience developing and managing full-funnel reporting and measurement.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing measurement concepts and KPIs across paid media, paid search, web/site experiences, and conversion funnels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset, with a desire to continually improve how performance is measured, understood, and acted upon.

Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
