Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Lifecycle & Loyalty Analytics will help scale the analytics practice supporting Shake Shack’s owned media channels, with a focus on email, push communications, loyalty program performance, and third-party delivery promotions. The role will integrate guest, channel, campaign, offer, and transaction data to assess performance, uncover growth opportunities, and inform strategic decision making. In partnership with Lifecycle Marketing, Product, MarTech, IT, Finance, and external partners, the analyst will develop data-driven reporting, prepare and analyze data, design and evaluate tests, and translate insights into actionable channel strategies and recommendations. The role will serve as a strategic analytics partner, using data and insights to optimize channel performance, strengthen guest engagement, and drive measurable business results.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Lifecycle & Loyalty Performance Analysis: Own analysis across email, push, loyalty, offer economics, and third-party delivery to explain guest behavior, channel performance, business impact (i.c. incrementality), and opportunities for growth
Data Pulls and Analytical Development: Use SQL and analytical tools to access, join, validate, and analyze guest, messaging, loyalty, offer, order, and transaction data from approved sources
Lifecycle Measurement: Partner with Lifecycle channel leads to define goals, audiences, key performance indicators, measurement plans, and learning agendas for email and push programs
Loyalty Program Analytics: Evaluate member acquisition, activation, engagement, reward behavior, retention, frequency, spend, and movement through the loyalty lifecycle
3PD/Aggregator Analytics: Evaluate third-party delivery promotion performance, including offer redemption, incrementality, order behavior, sales trends, and repeat purchase impact
Test Design and Evaluation: Help design controlled tests and measurement approaches, including hypotheses, success metrics, audience rules, holdouts, sample requirements, quality checks, and post-test readouts
Dashboarding and Self-Service Reporting: Develop and maintain actionable dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that give channel leads a consistent view of performance and business outcomes
Strategic Insights and Recommendations: Turn analysis into clear stories and practical recommendations. Work with channel leads to apply findings to audience, offer, loyalty, and partner strategy
Data Quality and Measurement Governance: Partner with Lifecycle, MarTech, and platform owners to validate audience logic, tracking, offer assignment, and measurement readiness before launch; document definitions, flag data gaps, and improve the reliability of Lifecycle & Loyalty Analytics measurement
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Lifecycle, Loyalty, Guest Insights, Data, Finance, Operations, and external partners to align questions, methods, definitions, and decision needs
Analytics Practice Development: Help establish repeatable ways of working for intake, prioritization, analysis, testing, reporting, documentation, and knowledge sharing across Lifecycle & Loyalty Analytics
This role does not own the execution calendar or launch owned channels (email, push, etc.)
loyalty, or 3PD/aggregator campaigns
This role does not own digital product roadmaps, app or web feature requirements, user experience design, or product analytics unless the work is required to measure the defined Lifecycle & Loyalty Analytics scope
This role does not support paid media analytics work
This role is not currently managing people
Related Experience:
Direct experience in lifecycle/CRM and/or loyalty program analytics.
Ability to take complex data and turn it into a clear business story with practical recommendations.
Strong SQL skills, including joining large datasets, developing reusable queries, and validating outputs.
Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
Experience with data visualization and dashboard design.
Familiarity with customer data platforms and marketing automation platforms. Experience with mParticle and Braze is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Working knowledge of experimentation, holdouts, incrementality, cohort analysis, segmentation, and campaign measurement.
Ability to manage priorities, document methods, and deliver accurate work on schedule.
Excellent communication skills with internal and external partners at multiple levels of the organization.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
