Position Summary
The Senior Analyst, Internal Audit Data Analytics & Automation, plays a hands-on role in designing, implementing, and scaling advanced analytics, automation, and AI-driven solutions across the Internal Audit lifecycle. This position extends beyond traditional reporting, emphasizing end-to-end analytics testing, process automation, AI experimentation, and innovation supported by strong governance practices.
Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit Data Analytics, the Senior Analyst collaborates closely with global audit teams to enhance audit quality, improve efficiency, and generate deeper insights through the effective use of modern analytics and AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Analytics & Testing
Deliver analytics testing across all phases of the audit lifecycle, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and continuous monitoring
Perform data-driven testing to identify risks, anomalies, and trends
Support SOX and regulatory audits through automated testing and control analysis
Automation & Advanced Analytics
Develop and maintain workflows using Alteryx, Power BI, and Power Query
Design Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions with UiPath to improve audit efficiency
Apply process mining to identify control gaps and process improvements
AI & Emerging Technology Enablement
Support development of AI and generative AI use cases (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Amazon Q)
Support responsible AI development aligned with audit analytics governance frameworks, documentation standards, and model validation expectations
Contribute to experimentation, proof-of-concepts, and controlled deployments
Reporting & Insights
Develop Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate audit insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Automate recurring reporting and analytic outputs while maintaining data integrity
Present analytic findings to audit teams, engagement leaders, and management, translating complex results into actionable insights
Collaboration & Capability Building
Partner with global audit teams to embed analytics into engagements
Support analytics governance and quality standards
Contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior analysts on analytics techniques, automation, and audit applications
Skills & Qualifications
5–8+ years in audit (financial services or professional services preferred)
Experience applying analytics in audit or assurance environments
Strong experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, and UiPath
Exposure to process mining and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering is an asset
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Professional designation (CPA, CA) preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and across global teams
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000
