What will your typical day look like?As a Senior Analyst on our team, you will plan and work on indirect tax recovery engagements with specific focus on public sector clients (municipalities, universities, colleges, schools, hospitals, charities and government entities) Your role with these clients will be to build and develop relationships with the engagement team and the clients and assist them with indirect tax matters by working within the public sector recovery team to provide comprehensive indirect tax recovery services by uncovering unclaimed refunds and rebates with respect to the GST/HST/QST, provincial retail sales taxes and other indirect taxes, while considering broader advisory issues in the sector. You will be involved in providing assistance with respect to complex technical issues which may include researching and preparing reports, creating detailed spreadsheets, technical reports and letters on complex indirect tax matters.
You will work with team members across the country assisting them to build and grow their indirect tax expertise at Deloitte. In your role in providing exceptional client value as a trusted business advisor, you will not only work with the indirect tax team in Canada, other services lines in Canada including tax, audit, financial advisory, risk advisory and consulting, You will expand your expertise in indirect taxes, participate in the development and delivery of training programs, and create a learning environment through leadership.

Enough about us, let's talk about youYou are someone with:
- A completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials Recent graduates plus individuals with 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting / auditing work experience.
- Preference to candidates with knowledge in the area of indirect tax
- A completed accounting designation, LLB., J.D., or Master's degree would be an asset
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
- Ability to anticipate the long-term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving
- Ability to execute a client service plan on complex engagements and work closely with the team in exceeding our client's expectations while identifying and mitigating business risks associated with projects
Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
