Job Duties and Responsibilities

Managing international logistics operations requires navigating complex, evolving global import and export regulations. The Senior Global Logistics & Trade Compliance Analyst addresses risk exposure by auditing customs documentation, managing tariff programs, and interpreting regulatory shifts. Partnering across sourcing, procurement, legal, logistics, and finance, this role optimizes landed costs, identifies duty-saving opportunities, and upholds strict compliance across all international shipments.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
  • Partner with the current Senior Analyst to master trade compliance operations, draft standard operating procedures, and serve as a cross-trained backup to maintain continuous operations
  • Execute import and export compliance tasks by handling HTS classifications, country of origin determinations, and customs paperwork
  • Monitor evolving global trade regulations, tariffs, sanctions, and customs policies to assess business impacts and implement adjustments
  • Analyze logistics performance data using AI-driven analytics tools to identify duty optimization avenues and cost reduction strategies
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal partners to drive efficient, fully compliant international shipments
  • Support internal compliance audits, employee training, and continuous process improvements to reduce operational risk

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):
  • AI Literacy to leverage modern supply chain and trade analytics tools for process optimization
  • Critical experience navigating U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, USMCA, and global trade compliance requirements
  • Expertise managing external trade relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment abilities to interpret complex regulatory landscapes
  • Proficiency using ERP platforms, transportation management systems, and advanced Excel functions for data reporting


Additional Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), Certified Export Specialist (CES), or APICS/ASCM credentials


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in global logistics, import/export operations, or trade compliance
  • ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Excel
  • HTS classification, country of origin determination, and U.S. Customs regulations
  • Working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers

Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
