Trane Technologies in Davidson, NC is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for its Residential Finance team. This role will provide long-term and short-term financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and analysis, and the creation of tools to help drive business insights. This includes period ending analysis, coordination of the monthly Risks and Opportunities process, quarterly Forecasts, and leading the investment process for LRP & AOP. This role requires productive working relationships with all levels of leadership and many different functions.

What you will do:
  • Lead Residential investment planning by partnering with functional leaders to align investment portfolios with BU expense and CapEx targets, ensure adherence to strategic priorities, and drive cross-functional collaboration during LRP & AOP cycles
  • Lead month-end investment reporting and analysis by preparing MOR and QBR materials, maintaining investment tracking files, and reconciling reported spend to the general ledger and balance sheet
  • Partner with FP&A Leader in coordinating and executing business unit month end processes including preparing WD3 presentation content, R&O, & Weekly Pulses for Engineering and Digital functions
  • Responsible for forecasting and reporting Digital Revenue for the Residential Business Unit
  • Coordinate with team to prepare supportive schedules for bridge process (monthly, Fcst, AOP, LRP)
  • Assist in the development of official Forecasts (3+9, 6+6 & 9+3)
  • Develop & implement analytics-enabled approaches to work to further streamline and automate recurring processes
  • Participate in the evaluation and review of major capital investments
  • Maintain various templates for actuals, budget and forecast analysis
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.
  • Master degree preferred and/or CPA, CMA
  • Minimum 5 + years experience in finance, accounting or related field, and strong financial analysis skills.
  • Forward thinking mindset with proven ability to forecast & plan effectively
  • Understanding of performance drivers across the P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong collaborator who is highly effective working across organization/functions
  • Strong interest & capability to advance analytics enabled work processes
  • Effective presentation skills, which include the ability to explain and communicate forecast rationale, financial results, and opportunities in an understandable and actionable format

  • Financial systems experience including OneStream and Oracle
