This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about using technology to transform traditional insurance operations.

Who you are

  • Someone who geeks out on numbers and loves working through discrepancies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • A strong communicator, capable of presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive and adaptable self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Experienced working with tools such as Microsoft 365 Suite, Tableau or Looker (SQL), and other financial reporting and communication applications.

What we need

We need you to do all the things typical of the role:

  • Lead the reconciliation of loss fund payments across client programs, ensuring alignment between claims data, financial records, and bank statements.
  • Investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies with internal teams, claimants, and customers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and automation within Financial Operations.
  • Document, validate, and enhance procedures related to large carrier accounts and high-severity or high-frequency funds.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial controls, reporting consistency, and overall operational performance.
  • Support a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the Finance team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in finance, or an analytical role, preferably with a TPA or an insurance company.
  • Experience across multiple lines of business preferred, with a preference for Commercial Auto/Transportation.
  • Strong proficiency in data tools such as Excel or similar platforms, including the ability to work with large datasets and perform detailed reconciliations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex insights clearly.
  • Familiarity with claims workflows or loss fund administration is a plus.

Benefits

  • Generous health-insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, & dental
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Competitive PTO policy - we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized!
  • Generous family leave policy after 8 months of continuous work
  • Work from anywhere to facilitate your work life balance
  • Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment you may want. Technology is something that should make your life easier, not harder!
