Our award-winning Equity Research team is recognized as one of the nation's most respected providers of equity research, delivering in-depth, differentiated coverage across high information flow sectors. We are seeking an accomplished Senior Equity Research Analyst to provide strategic leadership and direction for our Software sector coverage.

This senior-level position offers the opportunity to lead Software sector research within a leading equity research platform. The successful candidate will shape the research agenda, develop distinctive investment perspectives, and build strong relationships with institutional clients and industry management teams. Ideal for an established or emerging research leader, this role provides the autonomy, visibility, and resources to make a meaningful impact within a highly respected research franchise.

  • Lead and develop a Software research team positioned as go-to industry authorities
  • Define your coverage universe and research strategy with meaningful autonomy
  • Create a differentiated research product that stands apart in a crowded field
  • Publish impactful, timely research that influences institutional investment decisions
  • Develop sophisticated financial models that reflect true analytical depth and expertise

Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Advanced degree, MBA, or CFA strongly preferred)
  • Deep, demonstrable expertise in the Software industry is a plus
  • Substantial sell-side or buy-side Equity Research background with proven analytical capabilities
  • Alternatively: Software industry veterans with exceptional domain expertise and desire to transition into research
  • FINRA Series 7, 86, and 87 licenses required (or willing to obtain within 120 days)
  • Track record of independent, differentiated research that has driven investment decisions
  • Expert-level financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Established network of industry contacts, management relationships, and institutional clients
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with drive to build something exceptional
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to analytical rigor

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $250,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance. At Wedbush, Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
