Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Demand Planning Analytics and Technology is primarily responsible for the development and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to our commercial objectives and performance. These KPIs will be designed to uncover insights needed to make data-driven decisions on commercial objectives and priorities. Insights will cover a broad range of areas including Direct to Customer marketing (DTC), alignment and effectiveness of commercial incentives, organic demand generation, marketing campaigns, sales excellence (e.g. territory planning), field expansion, and patient segmentation.

Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will support Insulet’s commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to comprehend business process and context, while also having the technical skills needed to develop and report-out insights at all levels of the organization. This is a hands-on role playing a key position in driving the growth of Insulet over the next several years!

Position Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Demand Planning Analytics & Technology will play a key role in advancing the analytics and technology capabilities of Global Demand Planning. This role will own core demand planning reporting and analytics capabilities while partnering closely with Global Insights & Analytics (I&A), IT, and Demand Planning leadership to translate planning priorities into scalable data, analytics, and technology solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business acumen and experience working across business and technical teams. This individual will help Global Demand Planning better leverage data and technology to identify forecast risks and opportunities, improve decision-making, automate and standardize analytical processes, and accelerate execution of the Demand Planning technology roadmap.

Responsibilities:

 

Demand Planning Insights & Analytics:

• Own and continuously improve recurring Global Demand Planning reporting, dashboards, and analytical outputs, including month planning and leadership reporting.
• Develop dashboards, exception reporting, visualizations, and analytical tools based on evolving planning and business needs.
• Analyze demand and forecast data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers and translate findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Serve as Demand Planning’s primary day-to-day partner to Global Insights & Analytics, leveraging Databricks and enterprise data capabilities to expand and improve insights available to planners.
• Identify opportunities to apply advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities to demand planning business problems in partnership with Global I&A

Planning Technology & SAP IBP

• Serve as Demand Planning’s day-to-day execution lead for prioritized SAP IBP enhancements, partnering with Demand Planning leadership, IT, developers, and I&A from concept through implementation
• Translate business and planning needs into detailed functional and data requirements
• Coordinate solution design, testing and UAT, implementation, documentation, issue resolution, and adoption for planning technology enhancements
• Evaluate and help shape new IBP functionality, including statistical forecasting, automation, planning methodology improvements, and other roadmap capabilities
• Support ongoing SAP IBP optimization and adoption through troubleshooting, enhancement rollouts, user support, training, and process/system documentation
• Identify opportunities to better leverage SAP IBP, Databricks, enterprise data, automation, and advanced analytics to continuously improve demand planning processes and capabilities

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, demand planning/supply chain analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical functions
• Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience developing reporting, dashboards, and visualizations in a modern BI platform (Power BI, Tableau, or similar platform)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and data modeling
• Experience translating business and process needs into analytical, functional, or technology requirements
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Proven ability to convert analysis into actionable business insights and recommendations and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to independently own technical/analytical workstreams from problem definition through implementation

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with SAP IBP or another enterprise planning platform (Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, Anaplan, Oracle SCM Cloud, etc.)
• Working understanding of forecasting/demand planning concepts
• SQL/data manipulation familiarity
• Requirements gathering / UAT / system implementation experience
• Data automation or integration experience
• Experience working with Databricks or cloud data platforms

 

This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office.

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $83,900.00 - $125,900.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
