The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Analyst in Black & Veatch's Infrastructure Advisory Business to support our growing corrosion practice in the Asset Engineering Solution. This role supports a diverse portfolio of projects focused on pipelines, tanks, and related infrastructure across water, electric, and power generation clients.
Within our corrosion practice, we continue to see strong demand driven by aging infrastructure and the need for improved understanding of asset condition and performance. Corrosion control and cathodic protection are critical to extending asset life and improving system reliability. This position provides the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects by supporting field investigations, assisting with corrosion evaluations, and helping develop practical solutions for asset integrity and long-term performance.
You will work closely with experienced engineers and field specialists across our national practice, gaining hands-on experience regarding cathodic protection systems, condition assessment technologies, and data analysis. The role offers a balance of field and office work, allowing you to build technical skills while contributing to project delivery.

As a Senior Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to delivering projects for a wide range of clients, including water, electric, and power generation utilities.
- Support field investigations, data analysis, and engineering evaluations of infrastructure assets, with a focus on corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks, and related facilities.
- Work in both field and office environments, developing practical and analytical skills regarding corrosion engineering and cathodic protection systems.

Key Responsibilities- Perform field activities related to corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems
- Support coordination and logistical planning for field work activities, including resolving field-related challenges
- Support the organization and utilization of asset and inspection data
- Assist with interpretation of survey data and contribute to technical reports
- Support pipeline inspection and facility condition assessment activities
- Contribute to the evaluation of rehabilitation, maintenance, and replacement options
- Support project teams in corrosion control, condition assessment, and asset management deliverables

- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 3-4 years of experience in corrosion monitoring, cathodic protection, or related infrastructure work
- Ability to travel 50%
- Familiarity with cathodic protection systems (galvanic and impressed current)
- Exposure to field testing and inspection techniques, such as:
- Soil resistivity (Wenner 4-pin)
- Close Interval Survey (CIS)
- Structure-to-electrolyte potentials
- Stray current testing and interference evaluation
- AMPP/NACE CP-1
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Clear and concise communication skills
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree + 2-4 years experience OR Master's degree.
2-4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.
CertificationsCertifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred
Work Environment/Physical DemandsThis position will be based out of Black & Veatch office location within the United States.
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
