This role is hybrid on-site (3) days a week based out of our Chicago office

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Compensation Accounting to join our Compensation Center of Excellence (CoE) within the Technical Accounting function. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation Accounting, the Senior Analyst supports the centralization, standardization, and accounting for the Company's global compensation programs. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and a results-oriented mindset, and will partner cross-functionally with various departments to deliver high-quality outcomes and accomplish shared objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly calculations and reconciliations related to the Company's global compensation programs, including short and long-term incentives, pension and postretirement plans, and other employee benefits
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and insightful financial analysis and commentary, identifying key drivers, variances, and trends impacting results
  • Assist with the development and implementation of compensation programs and collaborate with cross-functional groups, including Human Resources, FP&A and Corporate Accounting to accomplish shared objectives
  • Support compliance with U.S. GAAP by providing accounting guidance and analysis on various compensation-related matters, as needed
  • Support internal controls by ensuring adherence to SOX requirements
  • Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability through automation and standardization
  • Contribute to special projects, as required


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required
  • Active U.S. CPA license preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting, preferably within a global or multinational organization
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with experience in stock-based compensation, pensions, and other employee benefits accounting preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively tailor messages to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to assess complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective, practical solutions to drive outcomes
  • Self-driven and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively in a team environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, with experience with SmartView or other Excel-based tools for querying ERP data preferred
  • Experience with Oracle FCCS and/or Fidelity benefits platforms preferred
  • Experience with BI reporting tools and dashboard development preferred


Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $77,000 to $98,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), Holidays (9 days), Personal days (3 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
