Full Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to support our growing Analytics team. This role combines required deep expertise in pharmacy claims analysis, data analysis, reporting frameworks, and coding best practices with business acumen to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making across client, operational, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in executing analytics projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions. With more than 3 years of experience in data analytics, pharmacy consulting, and/or PBM environments, this individual will independently lead analytics projects, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and support complex Large Market, Jumbo, and Health Plan clients through proactive insights, defensible methodologies, and business-focused recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analytical Project Execution
    • Lead analytics projects, collaborating with business stakeholders to develop and deliver reporting solutions and actionable insights.
    • Produce strategic insights on program performance, compliance, utilization trends, and financial projections.
    • Ensure data integrity by developing and maintaining clear documentation of query logic, methodologies, and key assumptions.
    • Support the development and enhancement of enterprise reporting frameworks and analytics standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as a trusted analytics partner for Large Market, Jumbo, and Health Plan clients.
    • Translate ambiguous client questions into analytical approaches, business insights, and actionable recommendations.
    • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align analytical insights with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and financial considerations.
    • Proactively engage and partner with stakeholders on project scoping, logic development, and documentation.
    • Advocate for data-driven decision-making across teams and leadership.
  • Client Consulting
    • Interpret current pharmacy and healthcare trends, and meet with clients to provide proactive recommendations for plan management; find ways of adding value to the client curating offerings tailored to the client's specific needs.
    • Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively recommend analyses that create measurable value for clients and the organization.
    • Present analytical findings clearly and compellingly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Apply expertise in data analytics to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and improved reporting methodologies.
    • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights, creating visualizations and presentations for stakeholders ranging from operational teams to executive leadership.
  • Compliance and Quality Control
    • Ensure adherence to company compliance standards, including reporting any noncompliance.
    • Support the development and implementation of quality controls and departmental standards to satisfy organizational and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in internal training sessions to support continued learning and development.
  • Stakeholder Management and Leadership
    • Ensure adherence to company compliance standards, including reporting any noncompliance.
    • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and client-facing teams.
    • Lead analytics workstreams within cross-functional projects and initiatives.
    • Guide discussions related to analytical approaches, assumptions, methodology, and interpretation of results.
    • Mentor Analysts by providing technical guidance, quality review, and coaching on best practices.
    • Support continuous improvement of team processes, documentation, and analytical standards.
    • Contribute reusable assets that increase team efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, consulting, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in pharmacy industry (PBM, consultant, manufacturer)
  • Experience working with pharmacy claims data, medical claims data, and client reporting metrics.
  • A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation, and detail-oriented perspective
  • A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement, and strong operational focus
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
  • Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis, with strong coding hygiene and documentation practices.
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights effectively.
  • Experience mentoring team members and leading knowledge sharing.
  • Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in large-scale, high-growth organizations.
  • 1+ years of experience with health plans, healthcare providers, or Medicare/Medicaid plan management.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • GitHub and dbt experience.

$124,000-$155,000 USD

Denver, CO Salary Range

$113,600-$142,000 USD

Charlotte, NC Salary Range

$103,200-$129,000 USD
