Description & Requirements

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Senior All Source Intel Analyst to join our team in Sterling, VA.

Each day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of solutions to promote efficient trade and travel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides all-source intelligence analysis on topics related to homeland security, including, but not limited to, border security, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and critical infrastructure protection.
  • Conducts research, analysis, network development, and recommendations for operational and support elements, external intelligence agencies, and external federal law enforcement elements to foster an environment of cooperation and sharing of information to develop future products better.
  • Prepares finished analytic products, assessments, briefings, and other written or oral products on current threats and trends based on the sophisticated collection, research, and analytic tradecraft of all sources of classified and unclassified information, including intelligence collection INTs, open source, law enforcement, and other government data.
  • Identifies gaps in available intelligence information and engages with other collection managers on strategies to meet intelligence requirements through Intelligence Community (IC) collection disciplines.
  • Employs IC analytic standards and appropriate tradecraft, methodologies and techniques, and applies specialized senior analyst expertise to prepare assessments of current threats and trends for consumers from senior US officials to state and local and private sector customers.


Minimum Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree and seven or more years of experience are required. Advanced education reduces the number of years of experience required by four
  • Experience in tactical or strategic intelligence and analysis.
  • Written and verbal communication skills that have led to the ability to write and brief for various audiences with differing perspectives.
  • Experience in establishing/maintaining relationships with external law enforcement and Intel community partners (liaison activity).
  • Experience as an all-source analyst in an IC agency producing finished, all-source analytical intelligence products per IC analytical standards, tradecraft, sourcing, and classification requirements.
  • Experience collaborating/coordinating all source analytic assessments with agencies across the IC.
  • Experience identifying topics and content for national intelligence briefings to include coordination with government and industry personnel at all levels of seniority.
  • Experience using IC analytic systems and tools such as classified message databases, Analyst Notebook/i2, or Web Intelligence Search Engine (WISE).


Preferred Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience in all-source intelligence analysis at the national level.
  • Prior US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) National Targeting Center (NTC) experience, preferably with proficiency in operational data analysis.
  • Specific experience in/with intelligence production related to counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and/or illicit trade.
  • Current or prior work in a liaison capacity to another component of CBP or another agency/ Experience in providing advice, guidance, and direction on national and international intelligence programs and policy.
  • Prior experience in Great Powers competition national security concerns, specifically China, Russia, or Iran. Language proficiency supporting any of these regions is a plus.
  • Developed/Created Intel Alerts, reports, or threat bulletins which have been distributed in support of CBP operations/ Experience in the development and implementation of operational and tactical intelligence initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with research and high side analytic or targeting systems.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have current/active TS/SCI and ability to obtain and maintain DHS CBP Suitability prior to starting this position.


Physical Requirements
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $107,900.00-$179,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
