Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years of air permitting and compliance experience, preferably in Texas
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including technical writing and client interaction
• Experience interpreting and developing compliance strategies for air quality regulations
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%
• Valid State driver's license
• Experience with air permitting in electric generation or cement manufacturing (Texas preferred)
• Familiarity with air dispersion modeling

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals for air quality permitting and environmental projects
• Manage complex air quality permitting and compliance tasks
• Assist clients in understanding air quality regulations and compliance strategies
• Interface with state air quality agencies and the EPA on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants for air quality solutions
• Advocate for clients by keeping them informed on regulatory changes
• Participate in public meetings and hearings for clients
• Calculate emissions and assess air emissions control technologies
• Conduct environmental compliance audits and ensure QA/QC of technical work
• Mentor technical staff to support their professional development
• Engage in business development through client relationships and professional associations
• Contribute to internal marketing and author technical articles for publications
