As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering Python-based agentic solutions that orchestrate AI models, tools, and enterprise data to automate decision-making at scale.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and agentic applications using Python.
• Lead the implementation of AI-powered systems that integrate LLMs, tools, knowledge sources, and enterprise workflows.
• Provide technical leadership for projects by driving architecture, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Partner with product managers, architects, data scientists, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code while effectively leveraging AI-assisted development tools and LLM-powered engineering workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, technical coaching, and collaborative problem solving.
• Drive improvements in application performance, reliability, observability, and scalability.
• Contribute to engineering standards, CI/CD practices, testing strategies, and operational excellence.
• Support production environments, participate in incident response, and lead troubleshooting efforts for critical issues.
• Stay current with advancements in agent frameworks, LLM ecosystems, MCP standards, and AI engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
• 8-10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on Python development.
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives and delivering complex software systems in production environments.
• Deep expertise with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar backend technologies.
• Experience building and consuming MCP servers, RESTful APIs, and service integrations; GraphQL experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications using LLMs, agent frameworks, or orchestration platforms.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud-native application development; Azure experience strongly preferred.
• Expertise in unit testing, integration testing, and automated quality assurance practices.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development workflows.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing, building, and operating agentic platforms or multi-agent systems in production.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar technologies.
• Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
• Knowledge of AI observability, evaluation frameworks, prompt management, and model monitoring.
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG architectures, and enterprise knowledge systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Service Bus, or RabbitMQ.
• Understanding of AI safety, security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience operating large-scale cloud applications with high availability and reliability requirements.
SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate's relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
