ResponsibilitiesIn support of the United States Forces Korea (USFK) Joint Cyberspace Center (JCC), we are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI/ML Developer with full-stack capabilities to support the newly established Technology and Decision Dominance Directorate (TD3). TD3 represents the command's shift toward "Data-Centric" warfare, consolidating digital transformation, data governance, and technology modernization to achieve Decision Dominance.
As a Senior AI/ML Developer, you will provide the organic "Build" capability to accelerate the integration of emerging technologies-such as AI/ML, edge computing, cloud services, and containerized microservices. You will be directly responsible for transforming large, complex datasets into actionable, decision-quality insights that enhance situational awareness, automate analytical processes, and accelerate the command's decision-making cycle in alignment with the DoD Data Strategy (VAULTIS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and deploy custom scripts and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache NiFi to process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from disparate sources.
- Develop and apply data-adaptive algorithms, machine learning models, and natural language processing (NLP) to automate analytical tasks, enabling predictive analysis for Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and intelligence functions.
- Develop, test, and integrate secure API endpoints to facilitate continuous interoperability and real-time data syndication across DoD systems, hybrid-cloud environments, and multi-domain platforms. Execute schema design and data ingestion across high-performance environments (e.g., SAP HANA, MS Dataverse, Maven Smart Systems, Tactical Data Platform).
- Design, develop, and maintain intuitive data analytics products and user interfaces utilizing AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face). Build executive and operational dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Army Vantage).
- Master DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated security and testing. Implement robust security measures across the data lifecycle ensuring compliance with NIST, DISA STIGs, RMF, and DoW cybersecurity policies to harden applications for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and mission partner networks.
- Deploy statistical models and cutting-edge AI capabilities (e.g., Google Vortex, MS Gemini).
- Establish and refine data governance processes, cataloging authoritative data sources and ensuring data quality, integrity, and metadata creation.
- Work closely with intelligence analysts, cyberspace planners, and operations specialists to translate mission requirements into technical solutions. Ensure synchronization with all command AI programs to build cyberspace capability and resilience.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- US Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience performing AI/ML development, data engineering, or data science.
- Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
- Proven expertise in machine learning, data governance, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
- Must obtain DoD Cyber Workforce Framework 8570/8140 compliance within six (6) months of hire.
- Demonstrated complete understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts within cyberspace operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the principles of the DoD Data Strategy (VAULTIS - Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked, Trustworthy, Interoperable, and Secure).
