MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

As a Senior Agile Scrum Master, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.

You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas:
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of an Agile framework (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) for managing Operations & Sustainment (O&S) and project tasks within User Support, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Enterprise Services teams.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization
  • Work with Task Leads and technical teams to establish and manage a consolidated backlog of tasks for User Support Services (Task 3), IT Infrastructure Operations (Task 4), and Enterprise Services (Task 6).
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure that user stories and tasks are well-defined, estimated, and prioritized based on mission impact and value.
  • Organize and facilitate sprint/iteration planning meetings to help teams commit to a realistic scope of work.
  • Train team members to facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Agile-related communications, providing regular updates on team progress, risks, and dependencies to both government and contractor leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between User Support, IT Infrastructure, and Enterprise Services teams to improve workflow and communication.
  • Facilitate coordination with other teams and stakeholders to manage and resolve cross-team dependencies
  • Drive continuous improvement by supporting retrospectives, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Agile and Scrum, and introduce new tools and techniques to the teams as appropriate.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • Certifications: ITIL Foundation within 9 months of hire date; Active Agile Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or SAFe Scrum Master). Advanced Agile Certifications (A-CSM or PMI-ACP) preferred.
  • Required Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach. Experience specifically leading Agile transformations within DoD or Federal IT O&S environments preferred.
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret. Must be willing to Obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Location: Offutt AFB.
  • Strong proficiency serving as a Scrum Master supporting complex, multi-system integration efforts, preferably within large enterprise or government environments.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and hands-on experience facilitating all Scrum sessions, including Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep Agile teams aligned, focused, and on-track by managing Scrum processes, workflows, and communications effectively.
  • Proven capability to drive team consensus on sprint goals, commitments, and achievable deliverables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to proactively identify, track, and remove impediments, ensuring teams maintain momentum and delivery quality.
  • Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills to foster team cohesion and support cross-functional integration/modernization initiatives.
  • Experience leading Agile practices through organizational change, modernization efforts, or system consolidation activities.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership levels.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
