Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a SCRUM Master. This position will perform the following duties but not limited: 

 

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional development teams supporting cloud-native application modernization and migration efforts
  •  Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and Security teams to ensure clear backlog prioritization and alignment with program objectives
  • Identify, track, and remove impediments to keep teams productive and focused
  • Coach teams in Agile best practices, continuous improvement, DevSecOps, and cloud delivery principles
  • Support transition from legacy applications to modern architectures using Azure PaaS, containerization, microservices, and event-driven design
  • Leverage metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, predictability) to guide team performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, security, infrastructure, and cloud migration teams to ensure coordinated delivery
  • Support program-level Agile ceremonies, release planning, and dependency management
  • Communicate risks, progress, and status to leadership and stakeholders
  • Advocate for a culture of transparency, accountability, and innovation

This role will be 100% remote.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD, 12 years with HS diploma
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Able to obtain Public Trust
  • Experience as a Scrum Master supporting software development or cloud engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and scaling approaches (SAFe, LeSS, or similar)
  • Experience working in a DoD, federal, or highly regulated environment
  • Strong servant-leader mindset with ability to coach and influence teams at all maturity levels
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM I/II, or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of SDLC
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
