Makwa Global is seeking an experienced Senior Agile Engineering Manager to support the USSOCOM Program Executive Office for Fixed Wing (PEO-FW), Emerging Technologies Division. This highly visible role will provide Agile engineering management, program execution, and technical coordination support across the PEO-FW aircraft portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a broad understanding of aerospace systems, along with experience in systems engineering, test and evaluation, government acquisition, and Agile delivery. This individual will work closely with government program managers, systems engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to align technical activities, monitor program performance, manage risks, and support the rapid delivery and integration of capabilities for Special Operations aviation. The position is based on-site at USSOCOM in Tampa and requires up to 30% travel.
Key Responsibilities:• Provide strategic and operational Agile Engineering Management support to PEO-FW Emerging Technologies Division.
• Deliver technical and programmatic support to the Government Program Manager and Systems Engineering team to plan, execute, and monitor program deliverables.
• Lead coordination and alignment of Agile methodologies with program requirements, risk management, and performance metrics.
• Monitor vendor execution across cost, schedule, and performance (CSP) metrics and provide detailed reporting to Government stakeholders.
• Support integration of open systems architectures, cyber standards, and rapid software development cycles for modernization efforts.
• Travel Required: Up to 30% to support program activities, stakeholder coordination, testing, and other mission requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in defense acquisition, aerospace program management, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with PEO-FW, AFSOC, or PEO-S&T portfolios • Broad understanding of aerospace systems, including aircraft platforms, mission systems, software integration, testing, and sustainment considerations.
- Demonstrated experience with USSOCOM acquisition and test processes, including coordination with Congressional and senior DoW leadership.
- Deep familiarity with Agile engineering principles, open systems architecture, and Special Operations software development efforts.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-paced, mission-critical environment.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and team leadership skills. • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
