As Coulson Aviation continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced
Senior Aerospace Designer to join our Designteam in
Port Alberni, BC. In this full-time, onsite position, you will lead innovative aircraft design projects and take ownership of complex structural aircraft modifications that support aerial firefighting operations worldwide.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Design structural and mechanical installations, modifications, and repairs using CATIA V5.
- Oversee both new designs and revisions to existing ones.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the design team.
- Prepare reports and data packages for design approval and certification.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and other departments to support aircraft modifications.
- Assist in the development and updates of the Design Manual.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:- A degree in Aerospace Engineering.
- At least 15 years of aerospace design experience.
- At least five years of experience using CATIA V5.
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft sheet-metal design, machined components, and mechanical installations.
- Knowledge of aircraft certification requirements, aerospace materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
