YesMake a DifferenceReporting to the Director, Strategy and Data Intelligence, the Senior Advisor, Relationship Management Office supports the relationship between TCHC and Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation in a manner that supports our tenant-focused culture. They are responsible for providing day-to-day direction and oversight of one Coordinator, Information and Business Support and for identifying emerging challenges and opportunities in fulfilling the unit's operational and strategic goals, and proposing solutions to senior management and the executive team. The work environment is fast-paced and collegial, and the Senior Advisor is expected to be solution-focused and collaborative, and to always exercise sound judgment.
What you'll doStrategy and business planning:
- Provide support for managing the relationship between TCHC and Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation that supports the strategic positioning of Toronto Community Housing in alignment with the vision, mission and values
- Plan, co-ordinate, communicate, monitor, and report on the implementation of the Relationship Agreement and Services Delivery Agreement between the two corporations, consulting with teams across business units as appropriate
- Ensure initiatives are delivered in accordance with internal, shareholder, or other requirements
- Develop, project manage and support review of organizational performance against the Relationship Agreement and Services Delivery Agreement
- Monitor, track, and verify all reporting requirements
- Develop recommendations to improve business processes defined in the Relationship Agreement and Services Delivery Agreement
- Advise on improvements of business terms that govern the relationship with TSHC as appropriate
- Collaborate with business units to identify solutions to support the successful resolution of issues arising between the two corporations and to manage risk associated with the Relationship Agreement and Services Delivery Agreement
Develop reports, papers, briefing notes, and presentations for internal use and to communicate to stakeholders:
- Create reports for the executive leadership team and Board of Directors on matters related to the relationship between TCHC and Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation.
Provide supervisory support to a Coordinator, Information and Business Support :
- Hire, mentor and supervise the Business Coordinator
- Oversee the work of the Business Coordinator to support successful implementation of the Relationship Agreement and Services Delivery Agreement
What you'll need- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or other relevant field (e.g. Public Policy, Commerce, Law, Communications, Social Sciences)
- A graduate degree in business administration or other relevant field is preferred (e.g. Public Policy, Commerce, Law, Communications, Social Sciences)
- 5-7 years of experience (work or co-op) in a large public corporate environment in one or more of the following areas: policy analysis or development, performance measurement systems, strategic planning, creation and monitoring of accountability systems
- Formal or informal experience supervising or mentoring staff, including through project management of complex projects.
- Proficiency with computerized business applications including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software applications
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, prepare reports and develop recommendations
- Proven ability to interact effectively with and engage a variety of stakeholders including: staff, tenants, business partners and community groups
- Excellent project management, conflict resolution and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Toronto Community Housing's operations, policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and an understanding of the community housing and social service sector
