Senior Advisor, Global Supply Management

Global supply at one of the world's largest technology companies is no small challenge. It's complex, fast moving, ever changing and above all exciting. It keeps our people on their toes. Our Global Supply Management team within Materials and Procurement takes charge of global supply planning for specific platforms and commodity areas. Focused on business goals and objectives, we take the lead in supplier selection, product delivery specifications and quality. We succeed through our ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with global internal and external supply chain partners.

What you'll achieve:

As a Senior Advisor, you will analyze demand and supply signals, execute sourcing activities, and drive supplier performance improvements. You will coordinate RFx packages, evaluate bids, and recommend awards that balance cost, quality, and delivery. You will prepare dashboards and reports that inform leadership decisions and highlight risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

You will:
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure optimal supply strategies are in place
  • Partner with Dell internal stakeholders including the Supply Chain Planning, Product Management, Engineering, Quality and Factory teams to ensure that the optimal demand plans, supply plans and risk mitigation strategies are in place
  • Have a detailed understanding of the global supply chain, networking technology and requirements of Dell current and future products
  • Communicate to and influence senior executives both within Dell and at the supplier and drive operational excellence


Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • 8 years in Global Supply Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Supply chain experience
  • Ability to build strong trusting relationships with suppliers and senior executives / stakeholders
  • Understanding of and proven ability to drive operational excellence
  • Ability to work cross functionally and on multiple projects simultaneously
