Full Job Description
***Two positions are to be filled, one in Montreal and the other in Toronto. Knowledge of French is required for the position located in Montreal.***

A career as a Senior Advisor - Fund and ETF Onboarding within the ETF & Specialized Operations team at National Bank means playing a key role in the launch and operational integration of new investment funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs), ensuring a structured, accurate, and seamless setup across multiple systems and stakeholders.

Through your strong understanding of fund operations, coordination skills, and leadership, you contribute directly to the success of fund launches, the consistency of operational processes, and the overall experience of both internal and external stakeholders, in a regulated and evolving environment.

Your job
• Act as the primary point of contact for the operational onboarding of new mutual funds and ETFs
• Lead the setup of new funds across various operational and accounting systems (e.g., FMC, PACER, external service providers)
• Coordinate onboarding activities with internal teams (fund accounting, tax, operations, finance, IT, etc.)
• Ensure the collection, validation, and clear communication of onboarding-related information
• Participate in internal meetings and, when required, engage with clients, portfolio managers, and external partners
• Ensure timelines, regulatory requirements, and operational standards are met during fund launches
• Identify operational and system-related issues linked to new products and propose practical, structured solutions
• Document onboarding processes, system configurations, and fund-specific operational features
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of fund and ETF onboarding practices
• Act as a subject matter resource for onboarding-related questions and initiatives
• Participate in cross-functional projects and sector-wide transformation initiatives
• Support team development through knowledge sharing and mentorship

Within the Investment Fund Administration and Tax Activities sector, you are part of the ETF & Specialized Operations team and report to the team manager.

Prerequisite
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, or any combination of equivalent education and relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund operations, investment fund administration or related functions
• Strong understanding of mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs)
• Experience with fund onboarding, integration, or product launches (strong asset)
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage complex operational initiatives
• Strong sense of accountability, autonomy, and organizational rigor
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate operational concepts clearly
• Analytical mindset focused on problem solving
