The Role

The Netflix Advertising XD team is seeking a Senior Ad Creative Designer to be a critical strategic partner to our Ads Commercialization and Market Activation teams. This role sits where business strategy meets go-to-market: you’ll create the canonical product and narrative artifacts that enable our sales, marketing, and external advertiser engagement, alongside the internal storytelling that aligns leadership behind it. This is visual problem-solving at a business level, not execution for its own sake. You’ll operate autonomously across markets and regions, owning complex Ads use cases end-to-end and shaping the narrative from the ground up. The ideal candidate has strong executive presence, is fluent in advertising nomenclature, energized by translating complex systems into clear and persuasive visual narratives, and motivated to build for scale, not just one-off deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Narrative Partnership: Collaborate with partners across Ads Product Strategy, Commercialization, and Market Activation to understand business goals and translate complex Ads systems into clear, compelling visual stories for both internal and external audiences.

  • Communication Systems Design: Build reusable templates, self-serve kits, and AI-powered workflows that scale communication quality across the org without requiring direct team involvement. We build for regional scale.

  • Design High-Craft Artifacts: Conceptualize, design, and produce a range of high-craft work (visualizations, conceptual mockups, ecosystem diagrams, presentations) that bring ad product strategy to life and help go-to-market teams secure strategic spend.

  • Communicate Clearly: Confidently present and communicate design decisions and strategic narratives to senior stakeholders and executive leadership, both internally and externally.

  • Work Autonomously Across Regional Markets: Independently lead work spanning multiple markets and regions, adapting narratives to different contexts and audiences, and setting the craft bar for commercialization and activation design.

Key Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of experience in strategic design, communication design, or brand design, preferably within advertising, media, or tech.

  • A portfolio that distills complex business problems into simple, elegant, persuasive design. We need to see both internal artifacts (strategy decks, system diagrams, data visualizations) and external or go-to-market work (sales enablement collateral, advertiser-facing materials, marketing assets) you have personally designed.

  • Craft & Tools: Strong visual storytelling and communication design (layout, typography, color) with proficiency in modern design and presentation tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, Keynote).

  • Ad Fluency: Familiarity with the advertising ecosystem (nomenclature, business models, key players), or strong motivation to ramp quickly.

  • Builds for Scale: Proficiency or strong interest in leveraging Generative AI tools and reusable systems to accelerate creative production and extend impact beyond individual deliverables.

  • Collaborative & Driven: Exceptional cross-functional collaboration, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills. You are feedback-driven and comfortable navigating ambiguity independently.

Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in motion design (e.g., After Effects) or 3D rendering.

  • Experience creating artifacts for a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Exceptional command of data visualization best practices and animated data representation.

  • Future forward, AI-native technical curiosity and understanding to develop the commercial workflows powering the design system.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.
