Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst, Auto Pricing - Personal Lines to support the pricing process for the Personal Lines Auto business and provide analytical support and insights to the Auto Pricing team and to our business partners.
In this role, you will also contribute to rate changes, filing, and communications aspects of the changes with internal partners. This will be an ongoing enhancement of pricing sophistication and risk segmentation where you will implement changes in rating platform and perform required validation.

What you will do
• Under moderate supervision, support the pricing of new business and renewal portfolios.
• Assist in the preparation of rate analyses, indications, trend reviews, and rate impact studies.
• Support interactions related to rate filings, governance, and internal reviews, with guidance from senior actuaries.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and documentation of pricing models, tools, and reports.
• Build an understanding of key drivers of loss costs, premiums, and portfolio performance.
• Assist in monitoring portfolio results and profitability for new and renewal business.
• Support Product and Underwriting teams by providing data-driven analyses and insights.
• Participate in the testing, implementation, and validation of pricing algorithms and rating platform changes.
• Stay informed on regulatory and market developments relevant to auto pricing.
• Operate in accordance with Zurich underwriting guidelines, pricing standards, and procedures.
Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table
Required:
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree
OR
• Bachelor's Degree
AND
• 3-4 years of experience in an actuarial or analytical role, preferably within Personal Lines insurance
• Progress toward actuarial designation (ACAS or equivalent international certification)
Preferred:
• Exposure to auto pricing in one or more provinces
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret results
• Developing verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders with support
At Zurich Canada, we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills, experience, and internal equity. The salary range for this position is 81,000 - 131,000. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individual qualifications. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range, but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidate's skills and experience.
Fluency in both spoken and written English is required to facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec.
