Position Summary
The Senior Accounting Manager leads accounting operations and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting. This role oversees rebate accounting, strengthens internal controls, supports audits, and develops a high‑performing accounting team. You’ll also partner with senior leaders to support business initiatives and drive process improvements through automation.
What You’ll Do- Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Oversee rebate accounting, including receipts, payments, and reserves
- Design and maintain strong internal controls and support SOX testing and audits
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on rebate‑related business initiatives and new contracts
- Review key reserves and recommend adjustments to senior management
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency
- Partner with internal teams, auditors, and senior leaders (VPs, Directors)
What You Bring- Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Advanced Excel and strong understanding of how systems process data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
- Leadership and people‑management experience
QualificationsRequired
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience
Preferred
- CPA and/or Master’s degree
- Experience in a large corporate environment
- Public accounting background
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
